Long term, residential treatment services, ranging from medical stabilization, residential treatment, outpatient to sober living.
The primary component of the Brazos program is intensive work with the peer group through dynamic group counseling. Included in group counseling are process groups that focus on talking about our emotions and how to learn to cope in a healthy manner, as well as educational groups, step lectures, tradition lectures, and a line by line dissection of the Alcoholics Anonymous basic text. At Brazos, we hold groups five days a week for a minimum of 20 hours per week. The primary focus is how we help each other recover from a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body through working the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.
At Brazos Recovery, you have access to a whole team of professionals who have gone down the same road to freedom and will walk with you and your loved ones, illuminating the way to permanent sobriety. We also teach you how to work with your peers, so once you complete treatment you are equipped to carry the message and pass on your experience, which is vital to maintaining your own sobriety. We have a smaller population at Brazos and we are gender-specific. This allows a lot of personal attention and growth to happen. At Brazos, you are not a number; you are a human being and are treated as such.
