Empathic, Experienced Staff

At Brazos, we offer much more than just a typical rehab experience. Our team of compassionate professionals not only understands the struggles and challenges that come with addiction but also provides one-on-one therapy and counseling to help our clients overcome their addiction.

Our unique perspective comes from our own experiences with addiction, allowing us to connect with our clients on a deeper level, providing the most relatable and empathetic service to the men who seek our help. We know that recovery is possible because we have been there ourselves. We have hit rock bottom and felt the overwhelming grip of addiction. But we also know that with the right support and guidance, it’s possible to break free from the cycle of addiction.

Personalized Treatment

We do not believe in a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to recovery at a Drug Rehab. Although we recognize similar patterns in active addiction and active recovery, we believe every individual is unique and requires personalized treatment. Upon arrival at our center, we will meet with you and carry out an initial assessment, in which we will decide what type of treatment is best suited to you. We offer both residential and intensive outpatient care and continually monitor our clients’ progress. This means that, unlike some treatment centers, we are able to adjust the level of care for our clients, depending on how well they adapt and react to treatment.

Evidence-based and Holistic Approach

At Brazos Recovery we recognize the value in evidence-based treatment of alcohol and drug addiction and support this with regular counseling – in both one-to-one and group settings – as well as medical detoxes. However, we believe that this, combined with a holistic approach to recovery, is the most beneficial for our clients.

Our approach is based on the 12 Steps, encouraging our clients to seek a deeper meaning in life and turn their eyes toward something bigger – God. We offer many spiritual groups, including meditation and prayer, as well as peer accountability groups such as the Fire Circle. We believe a balance of these two approaches is the most beneficial for our clients’ recovery – both during their stay with us and in their ongoing recovery after treatment.

Peer Accountability

Recovery is not a one-way street; it is not linear, and it is entirely normal for us all to have good and bad days. We recognize the need for our clients to be surrounded by supportive peers and our 12 Step Completion Program anchors to this. Recovery must come from within, but we are in no way alone on our journey, and peer accountability plays a huge part in all our clients’ recovery.

Many of our clients finish treatment with new, life-long friendships and support they never even knew existed before they came to us.

Ongoing Support After Completing the Drug Rehab Program

Unlike some treatment centers, at Brazos, we meet our clients where they are in their journey, not where we expect them to be. Toward the end of treatment, some clients may be unsure about what happens next – or what life will be like after treatment. We help them decide where they will go after treatment – whether it is straight home to their families and loved ones, our on-site transitional living or one of our licensed recovery homes / sober livings. There is no quick fix for addiction, so ongoing support is vital.

Brazos Alumni

Brazos Recovery’s Alumni Program is more than just a support group, it’s a community of individuals who share a common goal: long-term recovery. Our alumni program is designed to provide ongoing support and guidance for those who have completed our program, helping them to maintain their sobriety and continue growing in their recovery journey.

Through our alumni program, members have access to exclusive events, activities, and resources to help them stay connected with their peers and continue their path towards lasting recovery. Our alumni also have the opportunity to give back to the community by sharing their experience, strength, and hope with current clients.

Our program is built on a foundation of trust, empathy, and shared experiences. Our alumni members have found the support they need to overcome obstacles and maintain their sobriety. With the help of our dedicated staff and fellow alumni, you can find the strength to continue your journey towards long-term recovery.

Support for Families

Through our own experience, we know the pain that addiction causes our families and loved ones. We understand the common difficulties faced; the worry and fear caused by the erratic nature of a loved one in the grip of addiction, and the uncertainty of what life will be like after treatment is complete.

We ensure that support is offered and available to the loved ones of our clients, should they wish to utilize it via our Intensive Family Day or through our Recovery Monitoring Program. We also offer regular updates on your loved one’s progress and encourage you to get in touch should you have any questions or concerns.

To find out more about how Brazos Recovery can help you or your loved one gain freedom from addiction, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our team today. We are always at the end of the phone and are happy to help as best we can.

Male-only Treatment

The model of treatment we follow at Brazos Recovery is gender-specific; meaning we only offer treatment to men. The reason for this is simply because we have seen the effects of mixed-gender rehabilitation and its negative impact. Too often residents fall into new romantic relationships that, while initially exciting and exhilarating, can detract from his or her progress towards recovery.

By no means do we discourage building healthy relationships after treatment, but during your stay with us, we believe the best way to recover is by focusing on yourself and growing as an individual.
